According to Reuters, Qatar Airways may order more Airbus A380s for a possible expansion program. They currently have 5 of the type on order. As CEO Akbar al-Baker mentioned the possibility of the orders he did not comment on whether there are talks going on with Airbus.
Their current fleet consists of two 77ws with a total of 30 777 orders including freighters; four A346s which are expected to be retired from the fleet and leased; six A300-600s which will also probably leave service soon; 19 A332s; 9A333s; and narrow bodies (A319s, A320s, and A321s) which total their current fleet to 60 aircraft.


As for the 787 they have 60 orders including options. They also have a total of 80 A350 orders including options, leaving the rest of the orders at narrow body A320 family. "We plan to more than double our fleet size to 110 aircraft by 2015." Says their website, after highlighting their state of the art in flight services.
