Airbus CEO John Leahy said he expects Emirates Airline to purchase more A380 aircraft, reported Gulf News. Emirates, currently the largest buyer of the supersize aircraft, has ordered 58 A380s and is scheduled to get the first of these jets in August. Leahy said he believes that Emirates will eventually buy more of the aircraft, but right now its biggest problem is 'where to park them'. Other sources expect Emirates will total 150 A380s as they have previously announced intentions to form a fleet of over 100 of the type and there are recent rumors of an expected set of orders totaling 92 aircraft. Also it was earlier announced that EK are looking to have a fleet of 450 aircraft by 2020. This comes well in line with having a total of 150 A380s.
Note: Although EK's first A380 is scheduled in August, they are expected to receive it as early as May or June of this year. This, however, is not confirmed.
